Rahm Emanuel, President-elect Barack Obama's new Jewish Chief of Staff, was active in the Oslo negotiations and choreographed the Rabin-Arafat handshake at the White House.
"It was an emotional moment for him," according to public relations consultant Richard Mintz, who worked with Emanuel. "He would like nothing more than to participate in another peace agreement signing."
Remember, the Oslo Accords? According to Wikipedia Encyclopedia: "It was the first time that some Palestinian factions publicly acknowledged Israel's right to exist (which is no less than God's Covenant with Israel which will be "confirmed" or strengthened by the antichrist). It was intended to be a framework for the future relations between Israel and the anticipated Palestinian state, when all outstanding final status issues between the two states would be addressed and resolved in one agreement. The signing of the Oslo Accord on Rosh HaShanah 1993 kicked off the First Week of Jacob's Trouble.....Exactly seven years later, on Rosh HaShanah 2000, Ariel Sharon kicked off the Second Week of Jacob's Trouble when he entered the Temple Mount; and thus began the Palestinian Intifada, with the ensuing seven years nothing but terror, bus bombings, & suicide bombers. Exactly seven years later, on Rosh HaShanah 2007, lo and behold, the Third Week of Jacob's Trouble started quietly with no big event. However there is a reason for that.....one year later (there's a reason for that as well) there was a national/global financial meltdown....ON ROSH HASHANAH! These are NOT coincidences! The Lord said "When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. and in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" These are the signs of the times. It behooves us to know what they are and what they mean. No, we can't "do" anything about it, but the Lord said to "be prepared. Do not be taken by surprise....He said that "we will know what is happening for we are 'children of the light, of the day.' The anology of these three weeks of Jacob's Trouble is vitally important in knowing where we are on God's Timeline and what to expect. I am sending a separate email on this anology so that you may understand that at the end of the Three Weeks, the Lord says "Jacob will be saved out of it." This affects all of us. Shalom, Sherry
