MIAMI, July 21 (UPI) -- Five countries were being affected Monday by Atlantic Tropical Storms Cristobal and Dolly and the remnants of Bertha, Miami forecasters said.

Dolly formed Sunday, and at 5 a.m. Monday, was over Mexico's Yucatan peninsula 150 miles east of Progreso, forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. The storm had winds near 50 mph that extended outward 175 miles. Dolly was headed northwest at 15 mph, and forecasters said it could reach hurricane strength later when it reached the Gulf of Mexico.

Dolly was bringing as much as 6 inches of rain to western Cuba, Mexico and Belize, the report said.

Tropical Storm Cristobal, which formed Friday, was about 110 miles northeast of Cape Hatteras, N.C., moving northeast at 13 mph with near-50 mph winds, forecasters said. Heavy swells were reported along the U.S. eastern seaboard and the storm's projected path showed it hitting Nova Scotia, Canada, on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, the remnants of Tropical Storm Bertha were dousing Iceland with rainfall and wind Monday, reports said.
