Got Yeshua? PDF Print E-mail

2007-07-08 By Webmaster

The 21st century has brought to mankind a number of wonderful things. We now have like no other time in history technologies, advances, and medicines that benefit all of man. We truly live in a wondrous age. Remember 25 years ago when cell phones were a brand new thing? They were large, expensive to buy, and even more for the service. Now with the internet, and connivances that were never even dreamed of before we are better connected then ever before, and communication is only one of our myriad of advances.

With all the wonderful things humanity has done and achieved we have also sunk to new lows. Widespread Jihad, the subjugation of our civil rights, the mid-east crisis, and the rising of new Hitler’s in the middle east have caused wide spread fear, depression, and anarchy throughout the world. For the past few years we at propheticnews.net have been tracking events around the world that have either lead to or are in the process of fulfilling Bible prophecies some of which are 2500 years old.

The events alone of the past fifty years should speak volumes to anyone who knows anything about the Bible. Within the past fifty years, we have seen a lot of prophecies (God's promises) fulfilled.

To name a few...

1. The rise of the European Union - the world's last great empire (Daniel 7:7, Revelation 13)

2. The creation of a European army (Daniel 11:38-39)

3. Rebirth of the nation of Israel after 1900 years, and back in their own land (Jeremiah 23:7-8, and many other places)

4. Restoration of Biblical Hebrew, as a living language (Zephaniah 3:9)

5. Personal identification chips - now used widely (Revelation 13:16-18)

6. Instantaneous worldwide communication (Revelation 11:9-10)

7. Explosion in knowledge in the last days - electronic knowledge doubling every six months (Daniel 12:4)

8. The development of weapons that can destroy an entire city in just one hour (Revelation 18:19)

9. Jerusalem - a source of worldwide contention (Zechariah 12:2-3)

10. A peace process in the Middle East with many nations involved (Daniel 9:27), with the issue of land at its very heart (Daniel 11:39)

11. The Jewish Temple ready for rebuilding, and sacrifices resuming (Daniel 9:27)

12. A decline in the moral behavior of society (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

13. Terrible catastrophes and natural devastation increasing (Luke 21:25-26)

Truly there is no time in history that can measure up to what the world is going through right now. We are entering into the time of the tribulation and it is both scary and wondrous. Scary because we never know when the end may come, and wondrous because the return of our Lord Yeshua is at hand.

For those who don't know what the Rapture is. The Lord Jesus told the disciples in John 14 that He was going away to prepare a place for those who had trusted in Him as their Savior. He gave this promise...

John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The word "Rapture" is not in the Bible. The word comes from a Latin verb meaning to "catch away". But this is not a valid reason for believing there is no "Rapture". The word "Trinity" is also not found in the Bible, yet we know for certain God exists in "three persons", and that the working of all three of these Divine Persons is required for salvation.

There are numerous Scriptures which describe the Rapture of the Church. The Lord Jesus, according to the book of 1st Thessalonians, will come in the air. The bodies of all those who have trusted in Christ as their Savior will immediately be transformed into a new body. This new body will have several characteristics, most notably that it is incapable of sin (and therefore fit to live in heaven), and it will not suffer sickness or death. At this same time, the bodies of all those who have died since trusting Christ will also be resurrected from the dust, and their bodies will be changed into immortal bodies. These bodies will then be reunited with their souls (the real person) which were in heaven. These believers will then be "caught up together with Christ" into heaven, where they will stay until the end of the tribulation period. 1st Corinthians states that these events will happen within "the twinkling of an eye", almost instantaneously.

1st Corinthians 15:51-52
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

When this happens we will return with the Lord Yeshua to reign with him for 1000 years here on the earth.

Christ's future reign on earth was prophesied by perhaps all the prophets of the Old Testament. His Second Coming is mentioned more times in the Bible than His first, which may be the reason why the Jewish nation has been so blind to the Lord Jesus' claim to be the Messiah. Few Jews could understand how their "reigning" Messiah could also be a "suffering" Servant. Sadly many Christians also fail to understand how their suffering Servant could be a reigning King. You need look at both these aspects of Christ's Person before you will gain a correct understanding of prophecy. The fact that Christ will reign from Jerusalem as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, is clearly spelled out in Scripture. All the prophecies concerning Christ's birth mention it, which is perhaps why there was so much furor created when One claiming to be King of the Jews was born in Israel...

Micah 5:2
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

The above verse clearly teaches us that the One, who would be born in Bethlehem, would be none other than the Lord God Himself. Again in the following verse in Isaiah, we have Christ's two characters in view - a "Son of man" born to Mary and Joseph, and a "Son of God" given as a sacrifice for sins to the human race.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Thus this verse proves that Jesus Christ was the Son of God before He was born in Bethlehem, and not as a result of His birth which so many false cults now teach. Note also, the titles "Everlasting Father" and "The Mighty God" also belong to this Messiah, proving without doubt He is fully Deity and not "a god" as the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses would have us believe. The fact that Christ will reign as King is spelled out in some other verses...

Psalm 2:6-7
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Luke 1:32-33
He (Jesus Christ) shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

I like the difference between the angel's announcement of John the Baptist's birth, and that of our Lord. It was said of John, "He shall be great in the sight of the Lord", Luke 1:15. But of our Lord it is said, "He shall be great". There is no-one above Him, He is the greatest. The doctrine that Jesus Christ is going to reign from Jerusalem as King of Kings is not a Christian invention; it is established in the Tanach (Old Testament) in the book of Daniel. Daniel's vision and that of John are virtually identical, and this proves that Jesus Christ truly is the Messiah and the Son of God.

Daniel 7:13
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Revelation 5:6, 9
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb (Jesus Christ) as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

There is a way you can be sure that you will have a place in this glorious kingdom to come, give your heart to Lord Yeshua now. The time is short and you can no longer wait to see what happens. Your eternal soul depends on the decision you make right now. Lord Yeshua said in John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. There is no other way to get into this kingdom. Not Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or any other religion will be able to give you entrance into the kingdom of God.

Just say this simple prayer to become a child of the living God.

"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised. And you will become a member of the kingdom of God.
