Tip from defector said to lead to Israeli strike on suspected reactor in '07

GENEVA - A top-ranked Iranian defector told the United States that Iran
was financing North Korean moves to make Syria into a nuclear weapons
power, leading to the Israeli air strike that destroyed a suspected
secret reactor, a report said Thursday.

March 20 (Bloomberg) -- Banks in Kansas, Colorado and Georgia were
seized, bringing this year’s tally of failed U.S. lenders to 20, as
foreclosures surged amid a recession and the highest unemployment in a
quarter century.

A MAJOR earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 has hit the Tonga region, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reports.

The quake struck at 6.17am local time today at a depth of 10km and 210km from the Tongan capital Nuku'alofa, the USGS reported on its website.
