May 25: Houses lay demolished after severe thunderstorms swept through parts of Minnesota, causing damage in Hugo, Minn., where one child died.

Half of this small town lay in ruins or heavily damaged Monday following a deadly tornado that ripped apart a stretch of northern Iowa.
